Love What They Have Done!
Posted by g_wana
Let me tell you, I have been eating a Solomon's now for quite some time now and ever since they moved into their new location the food and service has become even better than before! Not to mention they have a full bar now and what a bar it is. The dinning room is also unbelivable, leather chairs, murals from head to toe, you really feal like you have stepped into a different world. Lets just say i be going to Solomon's more than i already am, which is sometimes twice a day!

GREAT Food, GREAT People

Solomon's is the kind of place you just keep coming back to. The food is excellent, the owner/chef and his wife treat you like family, and you don't have to wait 30 minutes for the "buzzer" to go off to get a table. Some of the menu items are middle eastern. Although I see many people ordering those selections and "licking the plate", I tend to go for the Italian and American fare. The Chicken Florentine is a winner as is the Grilled Salmon (my favorite). My wife is addicted to the Crabcakes ( just enough "cake" to keep crab together), my sons are divided between the Chicken Salad Pita Wrap and the best Hamburger in Raleigh! The salads are also very good. I like the House Salad with Grilled Chicken and Homemade Poppyseed Dressing. If you want to invent your own entree, just ask. Chef Khoury will whip up anything you want if he has the ingredients. He is obviously a man who enjoys what he does. Solomon's is a casual, friendly, family kind of place that will please anyone's palate. I love the mild lentil rice pilaf, the creamy mashed potatoes, and the fresh vegetables that accompany most entrees. The vegetables are always fresh and crisp tender using whatever is freshest and in season. Solomon's is the place to go when you have a group with varied tastes. Not only can they accomodate parties 6-12 with ease, there is something delicious on the menu to please even the pickiest eater.
Pros: Something for everyone, fresh vegetables, good prices, easy parking
Cons: none

Great Falafel

I have been often since finding this restaurant- it is a welcome change to the boring salads & limited vegetable choices that lunch offers. Lunch is out very quickly and everything that we have had has been delicious! Their falafel is delicious! with a wonderful chickpea taste & enough flavoring and vegetables added to give it a fresh taste - a taste lacking in other falafel-offering locations in Raleigh. The salads are delicious too - with fresh green lettuce & vegetables that are diced to the perfect bite size. Paying before you eat at lunch helps speed things up nicely and is an appreciated thoughtful touch.
Pros: prompt lunch, good parking, fresh food

Great Food and Service!

I eat lunch here about once a month. The food is always good, always tates fresh and the employees are always smiling and act happy to serve you. The cesaer salads with the fried pita bread slices instead of croutons are delicious as is the dressing. Try the chicken swarma, it has a generous amount of sliced chicken breast, an out of this world tahini sauce and sweet onions wrapped in some sort of flat bread. My daugher gets the kids chicken tenders and its large pieces of fresh white meat rolled in flour and fried. I don't know if it is fresh but it certainly tastes like it is and put the frozen chicken fingers served in chain restaurants to shame.
Pros: Great Food, Good value, Good Service
Cons: , none

Family

I recently enjoyed a visit with my mother and we went to Solomon's to dine for our first time. The hospitality at Solomon's was excellent. Our waitress, "Chrys" (I belive), was excellent. Not only did she do like most typical good waitresses and describe the food and tell what her favorite was, but she also took time to build a relationship with both my mother and I. Another gentleman (i'm assuming the owner) also made our aquaintance and was equally as friendly. At the same time neither of them forced themselves on us to prevent us from talking and/or eating.
Pros: value, cuisine, atmosphere

Delicious, healthy and reasonably priced

middle eastern food as well as sandwiches and seafood. Steamed veggies instead of fries are delicious. The presentation is artistic and you recieve personal attention from the family who operates the restaurant. Atmosphere is quiet and decor is pleasing although the lighting is somewhat dark. The chef personally visits each table to check on you. They also have a good childrens menu that they can color with crayons provided by Solomons.
Pros: healthy food, fresh food, personal treatment
Cons: restaurant is dark

My boyfriend and I recently experienced Solomon's for the first time. It was way better than we expected. The service was great. The food is fantastic. The chef made his way around the dining room to see how everyone was enjoying their meals. After speaking with him briefly it is obvious is a perfectionist and it shows in his cuisine. The mango gelato is worth trying.
Pros: food, service

Wow'd by Solomon's

I've been to Solomon's a few times for lunch, but happened to be on Capital Blvd during the evening last week. My boyfriend and I stopped at Solomon's to check out the dinner menu and we were blown over by the whole experience. Even though we came in only 15 minutes before they closed (we were unaware they closed at 9), the staff warmly welcomed us and served us an amazing dinner. This place is definitely a gem.
Pros: Delicious, fresh food, Fast service, Great selection
Cons: Closes at 9 pm

The food is exceptional and mostly made fresh to order. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The owner and his wife are exceptionally nice folk. If you want to go somewere where people are friendly and you get "chef" quality food then this is the place to go...... They have started lunch specials as well.....
